Depart from Marrakech early in the morning. with our personal driver then Stop in Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its well-preserved kasbah. Take some time to explore this ancient fortified village. Afternoon: Continue your journey to Ouarzazate, often dubbed the "Gateway to the Sahara". Upon arrival, visit the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the city's main attractions. Evening: Check into your accommodation in Ouarzazate and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant(not booked or included)
From Ouarzazate, continue eastward towards the Dades Gorges. The drive takes you through the beautiful Skoura Oasis and the Valley of the Roses, known for its fragrant rose fields. Once you reach the Dades Gorges, take some time to explore the rugged terrain, towering rock formations, and picturesque villages. You can spend a night in one of the guesthouses or hotels in the area to fully experience the stunning scenery.
From the Dades Gorges, continue your journey southeast towards Merzouga, which is located on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you'll pass through the Todra Gorges, another impressive natural wonder characterized by towering cliffs and a winding river. As you approach Merzouga, you'll notice the landscape gradually transitioning into the vast desert dunes of Erg Chebbi. Merzouga is the gateway to the Sahara Desert, where you can embark on camel treks and overnight camping adventures in the dunes.
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Marrakech. You can take the same route or opt for a different scenic route, such as the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Midday: Stop for lunch in a town along the way. Afternoon: Continue your journey back to Marrakech, enjoying the changing landscapes along the route. Evening: Arrive back in Marrakech in the evening, concluding your unforgettable journey to the Sahara.
