It’s a guided trekking and cultural immersion through ancient Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains, involving hiking on scenic trails, visiting with local families and sleeping in real Berber houses or guesthouses.
Where does the tour begin and end?
Moderate physical condition is suggested. The walking is 4–6 hours a day on mixed terrain with breaks. Supports are frequently adjustable based on group ability.
You will sleep in Berber family guesthouses, or simple village houses and hotels. Accommodations are bare-bones, but clean and friendly, providing a glimpse into a local way of life.
You should also pack comfortable hiking shoes, warm layers (even in summer), sun protection, a day backpack, a sleeping bag or liner (though only in the shoulder season and winter) and items for personal care like bags and lights.
Yes, the trekkin meals are all included. You will taste traditional Moroccan meals including tagines, couscous, soups, and fresh bread, which are usually made by your Berber hosts.
Yes, if they are in good health and fit enough for multiple hours of walking a day. The walking tour is flexible to minimize walking time if required.
